Beginning October 1, 2013, I will attempt a Photo-A-Day project. I've never done something like this, and I expect it will be difficult to produce something every day. To make it more difficult, I'm going to only use square compositions. I will try to create a new image each day, because that discipline is the heart of the exercise. I suspect I'll miss a few, but I'm going to try! Edit November 6: Mixed emotions as I'm not creating new images each day, which is what a Photo-a-day project is supposed to be about. On the other hand, post-processing is part of the process of making images, so if I shoot a lot of frames on a Saturday but don't work on them until Wednesday, that counts, right? Oh heck, I don't know.
March 11 update: One apparent lesson so far is that square compositions seem to benefit from strong negative space.
