To Ken Mills -- Fabulous Flippers CD's can occasionally be found on Ebay. I bought 2 there two or three years ago. The days of AM radio and listening to these stations late into the night brings back fond memories.
What a great collection of pictures and memories. Although I have never ben to any of these stations, I listened to "KOMA in Oklahoma" in 1961-62 during the automated years, and got to hear the singing clock. I restore old gear, so this is a wealth of information for me. Thanks soooo much.

Great KKJO photos! I was there 'bout 1980-82 (coming from KUSN); PD Steve Carpenter tried to make me change my name to "Matt Roberts," until people kept calling asking why I changed my name! Fondly remember the late Mark Patton and all the gang: Greg & Toni Everett, "Dave Knight" (Bob Heater), Pat Bailey, Dwight Lane, et al.. Worked with many of them again out on the West Coast at the infamous KWUN in the '80s. Great memories!
Thanks so much for the great memories. We were in Junior Achievement in St. Joe and you guys were awfully kind to let us high school punks hang out with you! You certainly taught me a lot about selling, which became a lifelong career..! Thank you so much for raising a group of us.
Cool pix. I'm looking for audio of the KOMA 1960's and early 1970's band radio spots that played on KOMA --- Flippers, Blue Things, Red Dogs, Wire, etc. Any tips about sources are appreciated.
Very Cool! I don't think KOMA bought much new gear, because some of that stuff is the same gear we used when I was there, in 73-74. funny
