Please visit NASHVILLE and NASHVILLE MEMORIES Websites GERMANTOWN STREET FESTIVAL, a complement to the city’s longstanding Oktoberfest tradition, has 25 acts slated to perform free concerts on three stages between 7:20 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Top talent performing full-band concerts, include Sixwire, a five-piece band with strong vocals and tight musicianship who earned the first runner up honors on Fox's “Next Great American Band”; Space Capone, an R&B band with highly danceable, ’70s-style grooves; Sunny Sweeney, a Republic Nashville recording artist and honky tonkin’ singer- songwriter; Steel Magnolia, Big Machine Recording artists and recent winners of “CMT Can You Duet”; Tyrone Smith Revue featuring Super T, one of the top show and dance bands in the Southeast; The Long Players, a collective that features some of Nashville’s greatest players and vocalists performing a faithful front-to-back rendition of the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers; among others.
