Some say it's World Famous, Brown's Diner, 2102 Blair Blvd is a converted railroad car and trailer and a Nashville institution, a place of burgers and beer (and a little bravado) served with consistency and without the slightest hint of glamour or pretension. Browns is content to live up to its reputation, serving items that remain American staples even as other restaurants try to gussy them up. No matter, tradition holds court in its trailer facade, and you wont find a more satisfying variety of grease in the city. Now it's the shabby sheek place to be seen. These pictures were taken March 16, 2009 and feature the local band Switchgrass. Members include: Robert Tigert, vocals/12 string; Glenna Osborn vocals/6-string guitar, Clare Bratten on violin, Ron Whitlow plays mandolin and Reno Kling (from Stever Earl and the Dukes) plays bass.
