Pictures of the wrecked shell of the MV "MEDITERRANEAN SKY" ship, taken on 21 May 2005. The ship had been abandoned since 1995 in the lay up zone of the Elefsis shipyards and keeled over close to the coast on 11 January 2003, following an emergency beaching to prevent capsizing. Launched in 1953, it changed three names and its last owner was Karageorgis Lines, a Greek coaster maritime company, who ran it īn the Patras - Italy line during the '70s and the '80s.
