This medical mission to Tanzania had more than the usual "R&R" attached. Prior to the mission, we came for the Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon (which Dr. Geelhoed ran and I photographed), a four-day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and two nights in Zanzibar after the medical mission. In addition, the weather was spectacular the entire trip -- high 80's and relatively low humidity. The weather was more comfortable than back home in Gettysburg. All in all, a pretty good trip.
