No, this isn't a place-holder photo; it's a photo of our place-holder ring. Dory and I have decided we should get hitched. (Hey, I'm from Nebraska.) But we're so busy getting ready to move to a wonderful place in Gettysburg -- selling our existing homes, emptying them, discarding an incredible amount of accumulated "stuff", etc., that we don't have time to deal with matrimonial matters right now. Also, I'll have to mow a few lawns to earn enough for the three carat diamond ring. So we decided that we should have -- actually, Dory should have -- a "place-holder" (vs. engagement) ring. So, I guess we're engaged to be engaged.
