Washington, DC

I sort of hated to join the bandwagon and post yet another flower photo -- but how can one resist, especially given how long we waited for them. And, hell, they're pretty. These daffodils were in a granite-encased flower bed on the side of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, one block from the Capitol. I particularly liked the way in which the one seemed to embrace the other. Springtime lovers? Two sailors, one a little tipsy? Congresspersons staggering home after a late night session? He ain't heavy, Father. He's my brother? Or a couple of amorous vegetables?

PS - Crop; Extract flowers from background; Insert white-filled layer below extracted image; Auto contrast; Slight Levels adjustment on midtones; USM; Sign; Down-res and frame.

Hey, you're right, Coleen. I like that better than drunken sailors (or Congresspeople).

Very nice, Dennis. This looks as though the taller one is telling the other "take a bow."

Awesome, Dennis! The lighting is wonderful! You did an excellent job in PS...it's hard to believe that you extracted the flowers from the background. The white on white really works here...congrats :)
