I sort of hated to join the bandwagon and post yet another flower photo -- but how can one resist, especially given how long we waited for them. And, hell, they're pretty. These daffodils were in a granite-encased flower bed on the side of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, one block from the Capitol. I particularly liked the way in which the one seemed to embrace the other. Springtime lovers? Two sailors, one a little tipsy? Congresspersons staggering home after a late night session? He ain't heavy, Father. He's my brother? Or a couple of amorous vegetables?
