To answer your question while pmail is down...I have a free program, called Windows and I will be using it to "catalog" my photos. The mini jpgs will have subjects typed into them and then additional keywords. I'm not sure of the structure yet. I will use Keyboard Express which cost me $25.00 to help with all the typing and keystrokes. If you right click on a photo and select properties, then select the summary tab, you can enter a title, subject, author and keywords, plus comments. Subject could be: Washington, DC--Inauguration Protests Keywords could be: protestors, Bush supporters, police, fight, pepper spray, arrest, (words in a sign)...etc. Then click okay. You can now search Windows (my computer or Explorer) for "Washington, DC" and will get all the photos with Washington, DC somewhere in the properties. Then you could search the results of that for Rose. Or begin more specifically. Keyboard express is used to do a lot of the mouse clicking and alt-tabbing and typing repetitive subjects. I've only tested it out. Haven't begun to implement it. I need to figure out the subject headings and then appropriate keywords.
