Taken on the south shore of Iceland. Glaciers are constantly breaking off small and large chunks (scientific term), which usually make their way (by means of rivers of glacial melt) to the ocean. It's sometimes hard to believe the size and clarity of these ice chunks. Over the last century or less, the glaciers have retreated several miles in some locations.
