Hi Denise :-)

Bethy just gave me your URL. I Love your photos!!! There was a pink Lotus in Kauai which had light coming thru the petal....WOW Actually, there are many many shots that I really enjoyed. I Love flowers also. I would love to ask you a few questions!! Hi to you and Howie (Me & He)

Hey Denise! I was finally going thru all my Xmas cards when I came across yours. Love the photos, as always! Miss you terribly. I have now added your site to my favorites. :-)

Good to hear from you again, Denise. Looks like you've been doing some serious cruising again. We haven't cruised since our Hawaii one last spring. We'll probably be doing another soon, though - probably a similar itinerary to your last one in the eastern Carribean.
Thanks for commenting on my iceberg shot. Glad you enjoy these. That paricular one was an afterthought - I was heading back home after getting as many shots as I wanted, and spotted this scene from the main road between two houses. Getting the two photographer ladies in there was also quite an accident. My next shot had them walking back towards the road.

Aunt Denise- These shots really did make me feel better. Because of you, photography has become a favorite hobby of mine! Thank you for sharing. I love you both.

Hey Denise & Howie...What GREAT shots. The real world has set back in but we are glad to show all our friends here who all the people were that really made our trip even better. Look forward to keeping in touch and seeing your final Maasdam project. Already missing everyone and the cruise. Rex & Paula

OK, Denise, I don't know how you do it! I bought a Sony H5 & took it on my last trip to Angkor, Cambodia. I was very disappointed. There was often fringing & I never got a knife edge clarity that most of your photos have. And low light shots, like your SF sunsets shots, are totally out of the question. What am I doing wrong? What do you do? What settings do you use? Filters? Or did I just get a lemon?
John Glines 28-May-2007 14:25
Denise, Sorry to bother you again, but in which of your galleries can I find the photos of the whales? (Although another journey thru you photos only firms up my faith in the H5.)
John Glines 25-May-2007 16:26
I thoroughly enjoyed looking at many of your photos. Some are absolutely breathtaking. I got directed to your galleries because I wanted to see some photos taken with a Sony Cybershot H5. But then I saw many of your fine photos were taken with a Sony DSC-V1. (I remember a particularly stunning one of people on Fisherman's Wharf, I think it was.) Anyway, I'm looking for a new camera. I have a Sony DSC-W5. (You can see the kind of photos I take if you look at my galleries of Singapore or Luang Prabang.) And I'm wondering which series you would recommend: the DSC-V (which is now a V3) or the Cybershot H5 (which is up to H9 now tho the H5 has enough oomph for me). I'm about to guide more friends thru Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, & I'd really like a camera with more pixels & a great optical zoom than what I have now with my Sony DSC-W5.

Hello Denise,

I really love your H5 shots, all of them. Could you please tell me your secret, what sort of lenses and filters you use most commonly, especially for the flower shots. And do you do much post processing of your pictures?
I'm planning on getting a H5 myself since the H9 is now released and the H5 continously drops in price. I just like to know what additional equipment I'd have to purchase to (hopefully) be able to make similar beautiful shots as you do.

Regards,
Alex

Denise,
Unbelievable! I can't wait to show Matt. I had not seen the ones at Bandon Beach though and I want some of those! The new grape ones are even better! Looking at the Banff pictures just makes me want to go back again, I haven't been there for 30 years so its time! You have great talent and I'm so glad you use it!
Love,Bev

Denise, I went through more of your galleries - I could comment on every one, and on tons of individual pictures - they are everything from artistically beautiful to just plain fun! You are soooooo good, and I have to practice much more!
John Bowe 12-Aug-2006 18:59
Hi Denise, these pictures are awesome!!!!! One quick question, I am thinking about buying a Sony H5 but I still have the opportunity to get the H1. Which one would you recommend the H5 or H1 and why? I have noticed a difference between the type of picture each camera takes. I am a total rookie at this. John
Agneta Sarinske 11-Jul-2006 08:18
Hi Denise,I decided to visit your galleries and not just wait for pics on dpreview - and it was as I expected, a wonderful visit! I can't comment on individual galleries or pictures, because then I would spend all day - and I have to go out and take pictures! It seems you and Howie and I and my Roger are in the same age bracket, mature youth, in other words - isn't life good!/Agneta

Thanks for posting your pictures. They bring back a lot of memmories. I took that same cruise last year on the Coral Princess, loved it.

Hi Denise. You know, one of the things I love about your pictures are the small background details like the prefectly framed ship in Palms in FTL / South Beach and the cruved rail in Miami in the Distance, also in FTL / South Beach. There is a real artistry in how you compose the shot. Rick

Winter a little tough to get into the Park very far.

Hi Denise, you have some fabulous galleries on show. Liked that little discussion of your granddaughter and friend, great moment. Also enjoyed the Saturday in Sonoma, nice contours and colours. A very good camera in the hands of an excellent photographer.
Cheers,
Bernard.

Hi Denise, thanks for visiting my Napa gallery. The winery with the interesting angled walkway was in Opus One. I'll be back in Napa in the fall and were lucky to be so close to a great destination for photographers.
