Kayak Bilge Pump

Electric Bilge pump on my NDK Greenlander Pro Kayak. Rule 500 GPH pump powered by lithium polymer 4S 14.8 volt 2450 Milli-amp battery(oh this battery only weighs 9 ounces).Magnetic Reed switch for on/off switch. Battery inside a Pelican 1030 mini case mounted in day hatch. Approximate pump out time of 4 minutes 40 seconds. The 2450 milli-amp 14.8 volt lipo battery will pump the kayak out about 17 times. Since there was no room to mount pump directly behind the seat the pump is mounted to the side somewhat but all you need to do is lean kayak to side to get almost all the water out of kayak. For extra precaution I have two magnetic reed switches wired in parallel encased in epoxy and covered in foam glued to under side of deck. Each rated for 3 amps of current and a inline 3 amp fuse. So if one switch failed there is a backup switch, both switches are turned on every time magnet is slid over switch.
