Dale Chihuly has led in the development of Glass as Fine Art. His work is in more than 200
museum collections worldwide. He has created more than a dozen well known series of works:
Cylinders and Baskets in the 1970's; Seaforms, Micchia, Venetians and Persian's in the 1980's;
Nuiijima Floats and Chandeliers in the 1990's; and Fiori in the 2000's. He is also celebrated for
large architectural installations, such as the one at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, with images
of some of his individual sculptures being included here. Chihuly in the Garden is impressive
when visiting during the day, however, at night with lights reflecting off the glass it is easy to see
why they are indeed "works of art"!
