I don't usually make comments, but I feel the need to on these pictures. They were done with respect. Yes I do have a right to make the comment. Sgt Hunter was a great man, father, husband, Sgt, co work, supervisor and friend. I knew him for and worked with him for over 20 yrs.
To answer cabowabo@ameritech.net, yes I have walked in their shoes. I was a police officer in the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years and went to too many funerals to count, including a close friend who was shot chasing a drug dealer over a fence. I’ve been shot at and chased too many armed suspects to count or care to think about.
Why you believe from this gallery that I have not walked in their shoes is interesting since this gallery is nothing but respectful and I feel a tribute to Sgt. Gregory Hunter who was shot dead in the parking lot of a Wal Mart while responding to a call of a disturbed person.
I can understand your request for more information, but don't make assumptions on where the photographer is coming from. You never know the whole story until you ask. Sorry for taking so long to respond, I just noticed your posting.
If you are still on the job, I will keep you in my prayers and wish you much safety.

Who is the dead police officer? Were they family or friend of yours? Did you take the pictures at the family or agency request? The officer is dead and no name is even posted with the photos to give recognition. You have copyrighted photos that have income potential to you based upon a great loss to many people. A little text explaining the circumstances would be nice. Possibly you have walked in the shoes of those mourning, but I believe from this gallery that you have not. I make my comments from having walked in those shoes for 16 years and attending 13 funerals of coworkers.
