This is the 51st Miss Chinatown USA.
For a half century San Francisco has been captivated by the grace, glamor and exuberance of the Miss Chinatown pageant. In the pageant tradition, contestants, family, and friends serve as ambassadors of Chinese American heritage and culture, drawing attention to San Francisco Chinatown and other home communities as they spread goodwill throughout the bay area and beyond.

Chinatown's first pageant took place during the 1915 Panama-Pacific World Exposition, which created a city of splendor to show the world that San Francisco has risen from the ashes of the 1906 earthquake and fire.

Miss Chinatown USA's popularity brings more tourism dollars to Chinatown throughout the year, and the queen and her count server as symbolic ambassadors of Chinese American heritage.
