The city of San Clemente, Ca. and the Heritage of San Clemente Foundation unveiled a monument and dedicated a park on November 12th, 2005 to honor Marines of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The broze statue, crafted by Bill Limebrook and Lauren Saint Vincent, depicts a Marine wearing dress blues, saluting the flag while looking out toward the Pacific Ocean. The park, in a section of Parque del Mar overlooking the Pacific and the San Clemente Pier, will be known as Park Semper Fi.
