Here is a typical Canon EOS 500D 'freeze frame'. I do not know what actual shutter speed is involved, you can't tell. As part of a video, the blur disappears but once you try to extract a frame, any movement tends to be show blur especially at 1080p 20fps like this. This kind of result, combined with the overall softness of all video frames, helped me decide in favour of the Nikon D5000 as my first video-capable DSLR.
