I'd like to thank you all for having patiently sat through the slide night of my seaside vacation
these last few weeks. Gluttons for punishment will continue to find black and white snaps of
Merimbula in my monochrome gallery. Meanwhile I return now to the REAL purpose for which digital
photography was invented ... taking pictures of scotch bottles. We have arrived (at last) at a
bottle of Ballantine's. Tastes good too. The quest goes on ... someday I will have shot every brand
known to drinking humanity ... just give me time. You know I AM getting older. At the present rate
I might not make it (gasp!). I shall just have to drink a lot faster.

I once was in a pub in Tasmania. I think that they had every brand there was, I think I remember something like that anyway. Great whisky, great shot, would make an even better shot in the glass.

Very nice David, and a lovely blend. I used to work with a chap who was the grandson of the Ballantine family but they had sold the distillery off several years before.
