Jamison Creek was dammed to form Wentworth Falls Lake many years ago in order to provide a ready
water supply for steam locomotives pulling trains across the Blue Mountains. These days the Lake
is mostly used for recreation and water sports. Here is part of the small spillway which releases
water to the stream which feeds Wentworth Falls itself. Pictures of all of these things are to be
found in my Blue Mountains galleries. The lake is pretty high at present and tips out water with the
rhythm of the wind driven waves.

The diagonal lines created by both the the spillway and the water make this a strong composition... and tell an interesting story. V

The up side of La Nina is that we'll probably have plenty of green and wet inland shots for a while over winter. There's a crystal coolness to this one that makes me thirsty just looking at it.

This water looks like handblown glass.
I had thought you'd need an even faster shutter speed to achieve this effect.

Good eye for the detail again David, I do get drawn to splashing water!

I really like the way you froze the water spill-over in time ~ nice 3D effect! V

That sheet of water's co-operating nicely by adding another diagonal to your composition - well frozen too :o)
