I thought for a while before deciding to post this. I am not sure whether I like this picture or not,
but then I thought that it was potentially the most striking image I got yesterday. Mt Victoria
(where I am for this location) is a mountain village situated not far from a major coal mining area.
Dozens of long, long coal trains pass through here every day carrying coal to the industrial
seaports of Port Kembla and Newcastle where it is shipped to China. There are also dozens of long
"return" trains hauling empty cars to the loading facilities at Lithgow where they are filled and
hauled away once more ... non stop rolling. Within a few moments of this return train passing, an
equally long full train came roaring past in the oposite direction.
