Looking north we see a low headland dividing Mona Vale Beach from Basin Bay and Bongin Bongin Beach.
Beyond that is Mona Vale headland from where we watched whales during the last section of the journey.
The lone figure is that of an astonishly fit man who must have been aged in his mid to late eighties.
We can also see a clear demarcation between the undisturbed upper beach sand and the lower beach
which has suffered temporary tidal erosion due to the recent heavy sea conditions.
