This set of D300 photos which have been converted from RAW files using the "Good Balance" quality setting in Nikon View NX is just here to showcase the convenience of using the $14-plus USD Phottix remote control to wirelessly (via radio frequency / RF, hence line of sight to the camera is NOT needed) trigger my Nikon D300 which was set on a tripod.
I'm the guy in the light blue t-shirt, and I was holding the transmitter in my hand and randomly pressing on the button to take the photos (in some of the pics, you can see a glimpse of the transmitter in my left hand).
The D300 was already pre-focused so the shots are instantly taken every time the button was pressed. I think this is a great way of capturing "candid" photos during such events while ensuring that you're also included in the pictures.
