Ok, this came out of the blue. I was doing a bunch of zoomed in shots to stitch together later, and this dud showed up - I only noticed it later. What do you think happened? Is my shutter faulty? Does the D70 have a vertical or horizontal shutter? Some sort of mistiming? Only one in 700 shots, but still...
Will probably be fixed in a firmware release at some point. As I said - only one of my first thousand shots has been affected, so don't read too much into this.

Is it just me, or does the typical blue sky noise completely disappear as the frame starts to get darker? Weird...

Maybe the strap was hanging down in front of the lens???

I think something with the flash sync. The shutter some how did not get open completely. I have seem this commented in one of my Kodak photograph book. Send the picture to Nikon support to see what they will say. And hope they will put it on the queue for "pending to be fixed" and get it fix for next firmwares or something. Thanks
