I don't claim to be a particularly spiritual person. However, the unusually colorful autumn display this year, in combination with a great group of photographers, the presence of Ken Rockwell, and a chance to communicate with a friend I first met long ago in another place as magical as Yosemite, turned our photography workshop into a sort of religious experience for me. I don't think I made as many photographs as I usually would, while many of those I did make seemed to come, rather than from me, right out of the camera - or from the good suggestions of my companions.
