I love the way you have captured the ambiguity of nature - Yes it is beautiful, with waterfalls, and rainbows. But, it is also powerful and dangerous which I also feel from this image.

I think this is my favorite Wyman image -- ever. It combines beauty, energy, fury, and magic, in equal parts. I love the way the water is tamed by the land as the eye moves diagonally through the image. Maelstrom is the perfect title. I remember shooting this same waterfall with you there in 2004 and limiting the effect of the rainbow to a smaller area http://www.pbase.com/image/35601774). My shot emphasizes the prismatic interplay of light with the water and the texture of the rocks. Yours stresses the thunderous flow of water into the chasm. We are looking into the gate of hell itself here, but this kind of hell is a wonderous place.

Wow - as in the previous image, we see only enough to get our imaginations moving. The colors floating through this make it spiritual.
