The Pioneer Village in Yosemite brings together a number of buildings that were found in other parts of the park. They were moved to protect them from vandals. The horses are real. But in this rather ersatz environement do the buildings - barn, stable, jail, school, blacksmith - still have as much import or meaning to Yosemite when they have been removed from their historical surroundings?
