Ballona Creek cuts through portions of Los Angeles, Culver City, and Marina del Rey. Unfortunately, it's entire length is a concrete conduit. None-the-less it's a favorite haunt of a variety of sea and shore birds. Each spring, along the lower reaches and on the north side of the creek, wildflowers can turn the Ballona Wetlands into a sea of color.
This is an homage gallery to my brother, Dan, "coaster," who has made so many terrific wildlife photographs at places like Torrey Pines State Park.
