I'm pleased to have finally taken my camera out again after a long absence of gathering dust in my bedroom drawyer. Most of these photographs were taken in and around the rural Thai village of Ban Dom Kirek, which is located approximately twenty kilometers from Chiangmai. I would often slip my camera into my backpack and take off on my mountain bike to photograph friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else that I would encounter.

Photography allows me to shed my shyness and live in the present moment, so it was truly a gift for me to slow down, open my eyes, and spend some time with the warm, friendly, and amazing people of rural Thailand. I hope that you enjoy these photos!
