Arches is about a 4 hour drive from Salt Lake City. 10 minutes from Moab, in the southeast corner of the state.
I visited here during my trip to Utah, but only spent about 4 hours hiking around. Not nearly enough time to see it all.

This sandstone area was formed from millions of years of erosion and other geological events.

It's really great place to visit. Bring plenty of water and good walking shoes!
