These were shot with a Canon Powershot S110 - my first digital camera. I was at a friend's place. Everyone was getting quite sloshed apart from me - I sleep better and wake up without a fuzzy head. It's also better for taking pictures. Anyway, the flash pictures I took that evening were not very pleasing, so I tried taking photos in this dimly-lit room with no flash. After appyling an auto levels adjustment in photoshop, I ended up with these images. The images are noisy, the colors are way off, but there is a quality to them that I like much better than the flash pictures I took that evening. The red in some of the pictures is the light from a red lava lamp. Needless to say, the originals were way under exposed.
