Thanks for your wonderful pictures I'm planning to cruise in formentera in late may (22-29). Do you think the weather is nice enough for sunbath, swimming etc... ? thnaks by advance.

I first visited Formentera in last Fall of 1968. It was an exquisite, barren island covered with a maze of rock fences. The old women when they passed you would sing Buenos Diaz. What a diverse group of people: South Africans, a British doctor with a sitar in tow, American and European hippies, German tourists with their young children...Some of my fondest memories in my life were on that magical island. I know it has changed dramatically since those days so I guess it would be prudent of me to not return. It is true that you can't go "home" again.

Hi Everyone, you all seem to be as big Formentera fans as me! Perhaps you can all help me? I have actually only visited Illetes beach in Formentera but me and husband fell in love and we want to spend a few days after our wedding in Costa Blanca, Spain. We are looking for somewhere luxurious and special. Can you help?

Seems like a long winter but looking forward to our return to Formentera, I look at the pictures over and over again, never getting tired of the views, and like one guest comment we are counting the days.

Dave, was there in June 06 and it was absolutley magical. Your photos make memories of the wonderful time my partner and I had rush back. Sunning, champagn brunch on the beach and walks of discovery. Aaaaaah!

Just four weeks for me until I return! If they ever build an airport on Formentera (they won't) (will they??) then they might as well take a sledgehammer to the earth. I wish it could be tippexed off maps so no-one knows it's there, except us.

Formentura is a little bit of the Caribbean close to Ibiza with the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The beach is amazing with gorgeous soft white clean sand, and the sea is crystal clear. Its very shallow to quite far out and has pockets of warm and cold water wavering past you. I cant wait to go back there in June (my fifth time)! Be warned..its addictive! Mike, I first went there around 1990, so you went much earlier than me. There are many more Italian visitors than in those times. Happily a lot of them are nice people who understand the culture. Dave

Hi Dave, What beautiful photographs. Finally some photos of Formentera the way we know it and not those grainy brochure pics. Going back in two and a bit weeks and we cannot wait!
