Ecchinswell stream by Dave H

The road bridge over the stream probably taken in 1954 by Sue's (Johnson) father, it looks different now as the wooden shed and brick building behind the bridge have gone.

DOESN'T THIS LOOK THE RURAL IDYLL? UNFORTUNATELY, NOW THE 'FORD' LEADING DOWN TO THE STREAM - TO THE LEFT OF THE BRIDGE - IS NOW VERY OVERGROWN, AND COVERED IN WEEDS/BRAMBLES ETC... WHAT A PITY THAT IT ISN'T KEPT CLEAR NOWADAYS, AS IT WAS THE PLACE TO BEGIN WADING IN THE STREAM FOR THE CHILDREN, AND THE ORIGINAL CROSSING PLACE BEFORE THE BRIDGE WAS BUILT, I IMAGINE?
