I have wanted to do some macro photography for some time but, in my mind, never had the right equipment.
Having recently purchased the Nikon D700 together with a few Nikon lenses I decided to purchase a dedicated macro lens. After reviewing a number of lenses I went for the Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro since it had good reviews for image quality, construction and most importantly was reasonably priced.....despite the recent price hike!!
Tokina lens now sold to fund more expensive Nikon glass!!
Since I am not really into 'bugs' most of my images will be of flowers and various artifacts so would welcome your comments on my new area of photography.
