Frigliana is of Moorish origin and is a small village situated in the hills above Nerja.
It is made up of picturesque narrow, windy streets, with decorative cobbled lanes.
The centre of town lies at an altitude of 435 metres above sea level and from most parts of town you get incredible views of the Sierra Almijara ranges, of Nerja and the Mediterranean below.
