9 August 2007. Our National Day. This year we are celebrating our 42 years of independence. This year's National Day Parade will be different from all others - for the first time the event will be held on a floating platform entirely over water.
The fireworks photos are shot from Marina Promenade, just off the construction site of the Singapore Flyer.
:: River Hongbao 2007 - Lunar New Year 15th day ::
On this 15th day of the Lunar New Year calender markes the last day of our Chinese New Year. Taken on 4th March at the annual River Hongbao event at Esplanade, the fireworks last about 5-8 mins. The following photos are 3 of the best. Enjoy!

The Marina Bay Countdown brings Singaporeans together in a year-end collection of the hopes and dreams of Singaporeans
The concept behind the Marina Bay Countdown brings three elements together - water, light and wishes.
Water - In Asia, rivers bring wealth and transport, and have often been associated with the source of life and origin of civilisations.
Light - Through the ages, light has been a metaphor for revelation, positivity , knowledge and hope.
Wishes - New Year's Eve is a time of reflection, resolution and renewal. It is also a time of sharing and a time for wishes.
:: S'pore Fireworks Festival 2006 - Team France ::
Today is the final day of Singapore Fireworks Festival. Team France, back at the Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006 due to popular demand, will wrap up the festival on this very day with “Celebration of Life”. Lead by Mr. Dominique Brezac.
In all the 4 performances, i prefer most is Team New Caledonia! Kudos to them

This is the 3rd performance, a debutant, Team New Caledonia, lead by choreographer Mr. Charles Germain will take stage on 11th August. Their theme "Nature & Mystique " will showcase a tranquil display playing to the sights, sounds and mystique of Mother Nature.
:: S'pore Fireworks Festival 2006 - Team S'pore ::
The Singapore Fireworks Festival (SFF) 2006, in conjunction with Singapore’s 41st National Day celebration, is held at Marina Bay over a four-day period at 2100 hours each night.
Today is the 2nd show, lead by Mr. Hery Ng, Team Singapore will present on 8th August to the theme “Our City of Colours”, underscoring Singapore’s multi-racialism and the National Day
:: S'pore Fireworks Festival 2006 - Team Italy ::
The Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006, in conjunction with Singapore's 41 st National Day celebration, will be held at Marina Bay over a four-day period at 2100 hours each night.
This is the first performance by Team Italy. Lead by choreographer Mr. Francesco Ambrico, their theme will be " Dynamic City", showcasing a loud, dynamic and passionate display.

This very day, 9 August 2006, Singapore celebrates 41 years of nationhood. This year's theme is 'Our Global City, Our Home'.
This year, NDP will be held at the National Stadium for the last time.
:: River Hongbao 2006 ::
Singapore River Hongbao is an annual event, which is being held every year during the Chinese New Year period. It's an event showcasing the Chinese culture.
This year's River Hongbao has 17 days of fireworks, each range about 5-8mins. Here are some shots taken on some days during the event.
:: New Year 2006 Countdown ::
Marina Bay Countdown will see the transformation of Marina Bay into a visual spectacle of light and colour, as the wishes of people gathered here - represented by wishing spheres that will form a stunning visual arts installation - are floated on the waters of the bay.
As we reflect on all that has gone before and as we make our own wishes for the future, the bay itself will come alive with light until it becomes itself a shimmering source of light. At midnight, against the canvas of the night sky, a finale of fireworks and music will welcome the new year.
