Well I did it. I managed to take photos everyday and not just shots of my kitchen sink. I have to say, this has been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever undertaken. When I began this I had only hoped to learn how to use my new camera, what I discovered though was a passion for taking photos I had never fully realized. Along the way I developed my own style of shooting.

At first I wanted more lenses and pro-lights. I now have both but only really needed the lenses as I am in love with natural lighting. While I admire good studio work and set shots, it’s the surprise captures that grab my attention. There is nothing more satisfying to me then being in the right place at the right time with the right lens.

One of the most important things I have learned is to relax when seeking that photo. All I need do is follow my intuition and for the most part, I will find the shot. There were days that I did not find a good photo to shoot. Usually, they were days when I was feeling depressed, sick or had been just too hectic to relax.

I also want to thank those close to me for putting up with my daily obsession. Carrying a camera everywhere I know has been a pain in the butt. The pressure to get a shot a day not only affected me but them as well. While I am sure I will still carry that camera everywhere I go, I now no longer HAVE to get a photo. Here’s to shooting whenever I see something and not HAVING to shoot daily! I especially want to thank my sweetie Cat; she in particular has had to endure some trying moments with me. LOL

Maybe I will do this again someday, but for now…it’s time to stop.
