Photo a Day for a Year - 2006

It was a pretty amazing and dramatic year for me. I started shooting it in March. I didn’t shoot at all for the first three months as I detangled myself from a very, very bad relationship that was smothering my soul.

In early Spring I went through some serious medical procedures that helped me grow and appreciate being alive. I also met an amazing woman, literally out of the blue.

By Fall I was MARRIED!! WOW!! I then stopped shooting by November as we worked frantically to merge our households and establish a new home.

I look forward to beginning again in 2007!

You are very talented and I love to look at your work. I picked up the calandar at war this year for a gift for someone who didnt make pennsic. Sorry I didnt track you down, I did see you once on Battle Road but you looked busy and I didnt want to be a pest. You know my question and we can always discuss it via email this winter. everyday I come and check for new photos... sometimes something clicks and I keep it in mind all day.. example.. 6-14 was a damn good day to listen to jazz.. thanks Darter..

Your 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 where big boost for my personal pad project as you always seemed to find something interesting to shoot. 2006-2007 album has been like going from romantic movies (Pretty Woman, When Harry Met Sally, etc.) to something much darker (Blade Runner). I am not saying that this would be bad thing, but the general mood on your pad project has definately changed as reflection to changes in your personal life. Lets hope that surgery goes well, business starts booming and this PAD will keep on going.

I'm having fun with the fact that so far, this is all in greyscale. Always had a fondness for it, myself. Just happy to see you shooting again. And it's fun to see how you've changed artistically recently. It's always good to test your capabilities..

Wow Ron this stuff is great. I stumbled onto your galleries and have spent the last hour travelling through your photographic development. You definitely have a talent and I love your people shots. Your monochrome shots are outstanding and I love the quality of light of your self portrait(3/08). Voted and added you to my favs so I can see what develops each day. Keep up the good work.
