Saturday morning we drove to nearby Powdermill Nature Reserve, a part of the museum system where I work. We watched them do some very careful bird banding. It’s fascinating for me to see how they gently capture birds, measure, weigh and band them and then set them free unharmed. The peaceful nature of the reserve truly appeals to me. Teri also enjoyed her first visit there.
I’m hoping to spend more time there, photographing birds and other fauna. After all, I now live only 30 minutes from there!
