Leaving Hills Creek State Park early on a cold, sunny Sunday morning, my wife and I set out for home. We decided to NOT drive the usual routes. We made out slowly through the wildness areas of PA on snow covered back roads. Usually, we only saw the tracks of snowmobiles left by weekend warriors. In all, we saw only two snowmobiles with people and one truck for most of the day. The scenery and peacefulness really soothed our minds.
I only took a handful of photos, only when my intuition told me to or when the rare bird would pop up. I’m only posting one bird photo, this Ruffed grouse, Bonasa umbellus, the best of the day. This gallery is mainly about my wife, Teri.
