After work I drove to my father’s to feed and check on his cat whilst he is enjoying the sun and sand in Florida. After making sure all was well I thought I’d head to the nearby lake and do a panorama shot. As I drove, I could perceive a thin layer of clouds, which can create some great colors at sunset. Once at the back of the lake at Nealy Point, I carefully walked onto the ice with my tripod and set up in the golden light.
Unfortunately just as I finished setting up, thick winter clouds obscured the horizon and soon blocked the sun and the colors I had sought. I took this just as the light turned once more to flat and gray. I really didn’t mind though, at least I was able to find a few moments peace of mind.
This is three photos combined into one.
