I wanted to try more night photography again so I waited for the snow to stop falling. There is something I find very relaxing about being out in the city at night after the snow has come down and the temperature has dropped. While I do feel the cold, I can deal with it. Walking along sidewalks with no other foot prints and only a flock of sleeping gulls and a few muskrats foraging for food; I chose a spot on the North Shore to set up my camera. If it were warmer I might not set up at night there but I feel safe doing so when it’s so cold as I know the criminals are all somewhere else looking to stay warm or hunting easier prey.
This is a panorama comprised of four shots. I uploaded one from the center first to give exif data then replaced it with the panorama. There are only 3 seams and while I can spot where it looks like seams, they are not actually where I placed them. There must be few lights somewhere in the city shining up that cast straight shadows here and there. None of my seams are straight. I also sized this at 1024 pixels high as I think the original, while FULL of nice detail, would be too large for people to view.
