Boalsburg, PA

As I drove my way back from State College, PA I saw this M4A1E8 Sherman tank nestled in a stand of pines. This tank was part of the 707th Tank Battalion attached to the 28th Infantry Division during World War II. It fought in the battle of the Huertgen Forest, a very bloody campaign that cost many lives.

Beautiful picture. We use to have such tanks in our army many years ago (30-40 years)
