Nixon, PA

The drive to work this AM from way up north was a real treat. The early morning sky was simply stunning. I stopped a few times to shoot the colors and even set up a few panoramic shots. I was sitting here assembling one to be my PAD but my eye kept returning to this one, stand alone, image. Needless to say I changed my mind on what I was going to post.

Wow..!!What else to say..
Excellent picture with all elements of a winner.. great colours, excellent mood and composition and right detail in the shadows.. You sure have come a long way baby ;-))
liked most of your images in the galleries.
I can feel your thrill. I started off into the digital world like you with a sony s 75 and then moved to canon g2 and now a slr 350d and its always fun to be able to capture images at so many turns of the road as one travels. Such a beautiful paradise called Earth ( if the crazy amongst the human virus dont turn it into hell ).
Keep posting...

STUNNING colors, Ron - and a lovely composition, as well. I love the way you've preserved the height of the sky. It makes it seem so massive. Outstanding work!

Wow! beautiful sky and I like the fact that it is a vertical emphasizing that sky!

Nice, this one is beautiful. I would love to have been riding in the car with you, even if you had stopped every 2 minutes!

The vertical crop is perfect for this scene. Awesome colors and comp.

the lighting on this is spectacular. Forget the gorgeous sky, the way that building glows with the light and the snow is just so beautiful. Well seen and definitely well captured. I think your decision to make this a portrait orientation just adds to the impact. Great work. - liza

Well, maybe I should slow down and read the descriptions before I post. It COULD have been a sunset. The interpretation of art is very subjective.

Wow. Great colors in the sky and perfect composition. A very calming, peaceful photo. It has an end-of-the-day-unwinding feeling about it. Know what I mean?

It goes without saying the sky colors are incredible but the phosphorescent lavendar in the snow makes the building stand out.
