I didn’t shoot as much as I normally do at this year’s event. Two major things happened that had me focused on other things. One was the fact I was scheduled for major surgery for the Monday after this event. At the time, I had no idea if I had malignant cancer with only months to live or if it was just a massive tumor of benign cells. Thankfully, that all worked out just fine.

The second thing that had me very distracted was the woman my friends had brought along to her first event. After months of trying to get us to meet they simply brought her here. We hit it off instantly and after 5 months we married! Needless to say, I was more into hanging out with her this weekend and not as much into shooting photos…
