I have a copy the photo on the left, Fred Stein's 1935 "Paris Fountain" 1935, hanging in my home office. I always wanted to visit the site someday. However, there wasn't any info on the location in Paris. I emailed Fred's son who maintain's his dad's website and asked if he knew, but he didn't. I was able to find it after pouring through Google images. The fountains were created by artist, Paul Landowski, http://www.paul-landowski.com/en/
I traveled to Paris last year and took the photo on the right with props purchashed from Paris flea markets. It was our last day in Paris and on cue, it started to rain when I took this photo. It was sad to see the state of the fountains. No water, just trash inside the crumbling walls. I wonder what the couple would think if they saw it today.
