Nestled alongside the 3000 foot cliffs of Marble Canyon, Pavilion Lake's crystal clear water hosts a fine population of rainbow trout.

The lake also has some coral-like formations that are found nowhere else on earth. Some of these formations are more than 6 feet high and are more than 12,000 years old.
