Just north of the town of Lillooet, BC, the mighty Fraser River makes several tortuous bends through this part of the Fraser Canyon near the village of Fountain. The views are nothing less than spectacular. This shows the river at relatively low water in April...however, this year there's a record snowpack in the Fraser watershed and much serious flooding is expected in May or June. The river here could rise as much as 30-40 feet.
Incidently, this area is often referred to as "The Yosemite of Canada"
Nearby is the impressive Marble Canyon and Pavilion Lake
More photos will follow as my puny dial-up will allow. :o))
