Isla Contadora is part of the Pearl Islands Archipelago. Located 30 miles south of Panama City in the Gulf of Panama, the island was used by the Spanish conquistadors as a stop for taking inventory before returning to Spain, hence the name; "contador" means counter or bookkeeper in Spanish. Despite its small size, the island has many white sand beaches.
Greetings. I live in San Diego, and will go to Morro Negrito in Panama to work for two weeks as a surf guide/cook (February 4th to the 14th, 2011). After that I want to work in Cental America doing like and similiar work...managing,cooking,supervising, fishing or diving instruction. Can someone please contact me about this. Thanks, John Turnbull
