This was my first time to be close to a forest fire. Each morning the smoke would blanket our cabin but by noon the air would be clear. Then the fire would again gain strength and we could see the burning. Thanks for visiting.
The fire continues in the Sawtooth Mountains. This image was taken from a moving car as you are no longer allowed to stop in the fire area. The tents are for the firefighters. As of yesterday, over 15,000 acres have burnt.
