Photos in this gallery are taken in and around Sa Pa.
Tribal people in this area are Black H'mong, recognised by their black dresses and "leggings", Red Dzao, recognised by their red headware, and Zay, which on warmer days you would recognise by their trousers and bi-coloured blouses.
Hi, I was in Sapa recently too and always find it magical on all my visits. Your photos are not really of Sapa, though, but of women who live in the region and make money selling to tourists. It only captures a part of Sapa. Why not the amazing men who pose with such strong stances? More of the mountains and mists and farms that look right out of Tang dynasty paintings? Or of the incredible international mixtures of tourists. I have met Americans, Australians, Vietnamese, Spanairds, Thai, Singaporean, NZ, German, French, Peruvian, other tourists there. In fact people from so many countries that Sapa seems like an international mixing place of diverse locals and diverse outsiders.
